OK, we’re guilty we admit it. We’ve been guilty of sitting on these beautiful tracks for the last six weeks or so when we should have been sharing them without the outside world.

After all, in this brave new Web 2.0′d up world everyone knows that sharing is caring. Power to the people and all that. Anyway, we digress…

Green Trees is a new project from Kyte vocalist Nick Moon, and his girlfriend, whose name we don’t know. Sorry about that.

The music of Green Trees has a similar ethereal and dreamy quality to Kyte through Moon’s lush and reverby vocals. However, the sparse intrumentization of Kyte has been replaced by lo-fi incessant beats, the finest Popgeist has heard since The Postal Service’s excellent Give Up album.

Other reference points for Green Trees would appear to be the more electronica led side of Slowdive and The Radio Dept.
Basically, its not all that different from Kyte but should keep us all ticking along nicely until their debut album proper drops.
